The world of electronics has touched all areas of today’s automobiles. It’s not enough for mechanics to be able to "turn a wrench" when repairing modern vehicles, the mechanic must have a solid knowledge of automotive electronic systems. The Nida Model 1431 Automotive Electronics Program is specifically designed to train entry-level automotive technicians in the troubleshooting and repair of electronics systems found in contemporary high-tech automobiles.
Utilizing basic test equipment, the Nida program provides a supportive, hands-on environment to beginning students, plus a challenging investigative environment to the more advanced student. Nida’s curriculum is developed in a competency-based format and delivered by computer assisted instruction. Experiments are performed on Nida’s simulated automotive circuitry card sets.
The Automotive Electronics Program teaches electricity and electronics from an automotive point of view. Isolating automotive electrical problems quickly and accurately is the key to an automotive technician's success. Traditional subjects such as Ohm's Law are presented using examples from realistic automotive systems and calculations are based on actual values that exist in automotive electrical systems.
Components such as inductors, capacitors, transistors, diodes, and logic gates are introduced in context with a specified automotive circuit that performs the electrical functions associated with that circuit. The intent of this program is to produce good automotive technicians that are capable of repairing today's automobiles. Be sure to visit the Nida Courseware Content page.
ATech's products are used by automotive training facilities throughout the world, including industry, schools, correctional, military, and government. ATech's trainers offer unparalleled realism. Students get hands-on experience and visual reinforcement while using the same service manual procedures and diagnostic equipment used by automotive manufacturers.
ATech's instructional courseware includes student manuals and instructor guides prepared for use with each trainer. All worksheets are offered with a photocopy site license to allow free distribution to students. Factory reference books and service manual information are also included with each courseware package. ATech courseware includes NATEF Student Record Keeping Sheets. Check out the vast list of ATech Automotive Trainers.
